PRESSURE WASHER GUIDE FOR DIFFERENT JOBS

    1. Removing Rust:

    • Recommended Pressure: 3000 - 5000 PSI (207 - 345 bar)
This level of pressure is ideal for tough, rust-covered surfaces like tractors, farm equipment, and vehicles. Pair it with silica sand or glass beads for the best results.

    2. Stripping Paint:

    • Recommended Pressure: 2500 - 4000 PSI (172 - 276 bar)
Efficiently strip paint from cars, trailers, or boats. This range ensures the paint is removed without damaging the underlying material.

    3. Cleaning Dirt, Grime, and Mold:

    • Recommended Pressure: 1500 - 2500 PSI (103 - 172 bar)
For general cleaning of dirt, grime, and mold on brick, concrete, or wood, this lower pressure range works effectively without causing damage to surfaces.

    4. Varnish Removal:

    • Recommended Pressure: 2000 - 3500 PSI (138 - 241 bar)
Safely remove varnish from wooden surfaces and furniture, ensuring a smooth and clean finish.

HOW DO I SET IT UP?

1/4 slip connect adapter, 10’ hose, 16’’ pressure washer wand, 10’’ sand wand, the pressure washer wand, and sand wand are input while the nozzle is output.

I ended up screening to remove anything larger than a sand grain and it began to feed very well.... I had sun dried to sand on a tarp, I had to really make sure the sand was dry, dry, dry....... When it was feeding it removed paint and rust from my old Jeep frame, I'm going to try soda next and see if that is any better.

Didn't think this product was going to be any more than a gimmick honestly. Was pleasantly surprised how effective it was it quickly stripping off decades of rust from an antique drill press I picked up to restore. I used inexpensive black diamond sandblast media from tractor supply that cost somewhere around $12 for a 50 lb bag. This media was a little bit too course for the nozzle size so I didn't get consistent flow but it was a good enough to take care of this job in about 15 minutes. Next time I use it I will try quikrete mortar sand from home Depot which is also cheap but it has a slightly smaller grain size. Totally worth purchasing as long as you have an area you don't mind getting covered with whatever you're using as an abrasive. The system does make quite a mess but so would air driven sound blasters.

I was skeptical when making this purchase but shipping was much faster than I expected and the quality of the sandblaster was much higher than I expected. I media blasted a car door and the blaster worked great. I am really happy with this purchase.

Wow, just wow. I decided to use this product to speed up my refinishing of a Jon Boat. It turned a 3-day project into a 1 hour project. I will be using this product for every sandblasting project from now on. All you need is some play sand from the hardware store and I sandblasted a 14 ft Jon Boat with 150 lb of sand.

USed this to strip an old boat trailer of paint and rust. Worked better than I had hoped. Not a sgood as a true sand blaster but I dont have one of those but did have a pressure washer. Kit has all the doohickys and geegaws you need to make it work, just supply your own pressure washer gas water and sand.

This kit is awesome. Stripped this drill rod box with 2 bags of black beauty medium grit and a 4400 psi 4.8 gpm Harbor freight gas powered power washer. Tried play sand and a 2200 psi electric 1.8 gpm and didn’t work well. Very happy and impressed. Took me no more than 1/2 hr to strip that whole front

Just received it a few days ago, opened it all up and everything was there, no damage. I haven’t used it yet.

Used it for the first time today. I was skeptical at first, but it did much better than I anticipated. I will consider upgrading to the pro kit in the future. I have already recommended it to others as they were interested in how it would preform.

My 1996 Rayco stump grinder is in need of a new coat of paint. I had been using my angle grinder to strip old paint and rust but that was slow going and it's hard to get into cracks and crevices. I bought this kit thinking it was worth a try but I was not very optimistic. Today I put the parts together which took maybe three minutes, stuck the tube that sucks up the sand in a bag of black sand from Menards for $12, and fired up the pressure washer. My pressure washer is a Honda, 3000 psi. It took at most five minutes to blast down to the bare metal on the section you see in the pic. The other pic is the other side that I had already been grinding on, to show you what I took off with the sand/pressure washer. I did this section and another one a bit bigger and it used up my 40 pound bag of sand. I plan on trying some mason's sand which is only $4 a bag to see if that will work as good. I am a do-it-yourself guy and I endorse this kit 100%.

It'll work great if you follow these tips . First put the suction tube in empty bucket then pour your sand in. Secondly position the bucket so it's touching the pressure washer. The vibration from the pressure washer will agitate the sand so it's always moving around the suction tube. Third I found that a shorter hose from suction tube to wand works better. Fourth if your using a coarser sand like pool filter sand or bigger abrasive then play sand you'll want to have a gravity fed system and you'll want to use a 3/4 in hose. I used a 2300psi 2.4 gpm washer and it will use the sand up quick but you'll get that sand blast look.

Excellent product, great packaging, if you are anything other than a rock the instructions aren’t needed. Works well with play sand, $3 a bag where I’m at, just make sure you sift it to get out the big rocks. Worked wonders to wet blast all suspension components of an old Subaru, even the painted ones. 10/10 would buy again. Works on both my cheap $100 electric pressure washer as well as my large high pressure gas one as well. Faster results with the gas one same results with the electric one. Only complaint is NOT with the product, it’s with trying to find enough dry sand to feed the thing.

Good buy! Some basic tips to get it to work, and it works pretty well. 1. Make sure the sand is very dry, I spread mine out on a tarp in the hot sun and let its dry to make sure that it flows properly. 2. Recommend that you screen the sand to remove any Pebbles or larger rocks. You will find that if these rocks or Pebbles get clogged in the nozzle water can backflow into the sand feed tube at which point you will have to disconnect clean out and dry. 3. I found lasting in a circular pattern seem to provide the best results. When using the Blaster it is essential that you have sand that flows easily much like that in an hourglass. I use a fine place and that I purchased at Home Depot, and dried and screened as above. I was able to successfully sandblast a concrete sidewalk and Patio we're moving all the stain.

For a cheap price, I wasn't expecting much. But after $20 worth of sand and a few bucks of fuel in the pressure washer, I was pleasantly surprised! I am powder coating some aluminum rims, and needed to prepare the surface. This thing works amazingly well for being so simple and cheap. Not only did it give a great surface profile for powder coat, but it's relatively quick and easy. My pick was Quickrete all purpose sand. The first bag went ok, only one rock jam up. The second bag, not so well. Luckily I ordered stainless steel mesh together. Filtering the sand halfway through the bag. I was amazed at the number of rocks in it! One other thing I learned is that when a rock jams into the tip, you will then have backflowing water going toward your sand. Next up is covering your sand bucket. You do not want any overspray getting in there. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and had my sand bucket on my truck tailgate, and wheels on the driveway. this will help your sand to gravity feed. Buy good media or screen your sand first. Get your cars far away too, or anything else that doesn't agree with sand for that matter. And plan on stripping down as far as you can and hosing down outside afterward.

I use this with a 3,300psi pressure washer with a long wand. I use it for removing paint and rust off metal fencing, vehicles, tools, and various farm implements. It works great, one thing to note is to point the sand hose upwards on the wand end so that the water cannot drip back down into the sand hose. I recently sprayed an entire spiral staircase in less than 4 hours saving days of work with a grinder, my back, and the finish left is much more uniform than I would have gotten with a grinder. For vehicles, you can use outdoor 3m painting tape and angle the water away from the tape to sandblast panels or entire vehicles. The strength of the pressure washer used makes a huge difference in how well it works. The bigger the compressor, the more sand it can pull at a time, and the harder it's going to hit the surface when sprayed. I don't think I would want to bother with this tool if my pressure washer was any smaller. I've owned and used a few of these over the years and this one is better quality than the other brands I've tried. I have yet to have a single nozzle clog. 10/10

Over all I like this. Dry sand blasting is hazardous to your health unless you wear a respirator. Doing it with water to control the dust is how most professionals do it. The parts are good quality. Not that it's very hard to figure out. But it did come with a ebook full of information like how much water vs sand in the bucket is optimal vs trial and error method. I think beach sand would work well if sifted with this but the beaches around here are frozen solid so it'll have to wait for a few months. I used my 1500 psi pressure washer to see how well it would do. It worked. I think the larger gas powered one would do a much better job but that's put up until spring. The safety glasses work but a full face shield is a much better way to go. Unlike sand blasting the water seems to deflect back towards you easier. Kind of like how spraying a hose while washing a car will sometimes squirt back at you. I was easily able to remove light to medium rust from a receiver hitch. I think heavy scale could be done. I'm looking forward to this spring so I can try it out on a steel arm assembly that has a tube that slides inside another. It's rusted enough so they no longer slide and it's welded so they can't come apart. I think this will get the grit in between the metal so I can free them up. Read less

sandblaster unit works great, but for me here's couple of key importance's when using blasting unit--good blasting material, use 2-persons when operation pressure machine/blaster to save time/material, and order extra sandblast nozzle kits.

    Pro Sandblast Kit™ Ceramic Series

Cheaply made 10% removal with 4400 psi pressure washer. Was too hopeful. Email communication is horrible but the spam keeps coming. Asked for a refund 4 times then finally went through my credit card. Definitely not as advertised.

    Pro Sandblast Kit™ Ceramic Series

This works great on my 4500psi pressure washer using just sand pit sand from hardware , but I'm keen to try it with different blast material to see the difference in finishes , but happy so far.

    Pro Sandblast Kit™ (Ceramic Series)

When I received it the face mask was cracked. No instructions. No hose clamps for sand siphon hose. As far as performance, it was mediocre at best. I consider it a waste of money!

    Pro Sandblast Kit™ Ceramic Series

It works great, I will for sure use this a lot. It moves some sand, and it removes material really well. The reason for the low rating is that I did not get all that was promised. The rust inhibitor did not show up, and it said face shield, but all that I got was a pair of safety glasses. Other than those two things, it seems like it will be a good product.

      HOW IT WORKS

Professional wet sandblasting without compressed air systems or expensive equipment. The SandBlastKit uses proven Venturi physics to turn any pressure washer into a powerful surface prep tool. Here's the science behind it.
      Venturi Effect in Action

      Venturi Effect in Action

High-pressure water creates a low-pressure zone that pulls sand through the media hose, mixing it with water for powerful wet sandblasting.
No compressed air needed, works with any standard pressure washer
Ceramic nozzle creates consistent vacuum for smooth sand flow
Adjustable water pressure gives you complete control
Wet process keeps dust contained and surfaces ready for coating

Pro Tip: The higher your water pressure, the stronger the vacuum suction. This is why gas-powered washers (2500-3500 PSI) create more aggressive blasting power than electric models.

      Works With Any Pressure Washer

      FAQ section image
What does SandBlastKit actually do, is it a real water sandblaster or just an attachment?

SandBlastKit converts your existing pressure washer into a wet sandblaster. It attaches directly to your wand and uses suction to draw sand from a bucket, mixing it into the water stream so you can blast away rust, paint, and heavy coatings from metal, wood, and concrete. Most standard pressure washers (1,500–4,000 PSI) are compatible.

      No special equipment required

Which bundle do I need for my project?

It depends on the job. The Starter Kit is perfect for small projects and first-time users. The Do It Right Bundle (our most popular) adds PRO Nozzles, a Face Mask, Sand Sifter, and Rust Inhibitor — covering everything for a complete job. For heavy-duty work like full truck frames, trailers, or farm equipment, the Pro Bundle includes a high-pressure gun and cleanup accessories built for repeated, large-scale use. Not sure? Contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.

How do I set up my DIY pressure washer sandblaster correctly to avoid clogging?

Setup order matters: always pull the trigger and get water flowing before placing the suction head into the sand, and when stopping, lift the suction head out first, then release the trigger. Keep the sand hose as upright as possible (around the 12 o'clock position) and raise your sand bucket about 3 feet off the ground for better suction. Using dry, filtered sand is essential, even one damp clump can block the system. This is the single most overlooked step in any pressure washer sandblaster DIY setup.

What type of sand or blasting media should I use?

Use dry, coarse-grade blasting sand — avoid play sand or beach sand as they are too fine, too smooth, or too damp and will clog the system. Different jobs call for different media: coarser grits remove heavy rust and thick coatings, while finer grits are better for lighter prep work or softer surfaces like wood. Always run your sand through the Sand Filter/Sifter before each session to remove rocks, moisture, and debris.

How do I prevent rust from coming back right after blasting?

After blasting, bare metal oxidises fast — sometimes within hours. The fix is simple: add Rust Inhibitor to your water feed line (1 oz per gallon). This protects the surface for up to 72 hours, giving you plenty of time to apply primer or paint. If you're not coating right away, wipe the surface dry, blow air into all seams and joints, and store in a dry environment. The Mini Cordless Turbo Jet Blower is great for clearing moisture from tight spots like bolts and frames.

Can I reuse my blasting sand to save money?

Yes — with the right setup you can recover and reuse 70–80% of your sand. Place the Sandblast Catch Net under your work area to collect spent media. After blasting, rake it out, let it dry in the sun, then run it through the Sand Filter/Sifter again before the next session. Store reclaimed sand in a sealed metal container away from moisture to keep it dry and ready to use.

My blasting feels weak or the sand keeps clogging, what should I do?

The two most common causes are wet sand and incorrect hose angle. Check that your sand is completely dry (sift it first), keep the suction hose upright, and make sure the bucket is raised off the ground. If suction is still poor, adjust the black knob on your washer's pump to regulate flow. For stubborn rust or thicker coatings, upgrading to the High-Pressure Washer Gun significantly boosts PSI and gives you interchangeable tips for more targeted control.

What PSI and GPM does my pressure washer need?

Minimum 3000 PSI and 2.5 GPM. Pe Jay Evans runs it at 3100 PSI with Black Diamond media from Tractor Supply. Cecelia M. confirmed it works at 2700 PSI. Electric washers at 2500 PSI are borderline -- results vary.

Won't it cause flash rust immediately after blasting?

Flash rust starts within minutes on bare wet metal -- this is the #1 concern. Fix: apply Ospho or a phosphoric rust inhibitor within 1 hour, or prime the same session. Scott White blasted his 1970 truck frame and primed it the same day.

Does it work with an air compressor or only a pressure washer?

It connects to a pressure washer, not an air compressor. The water flow creates suction that pulls media into the stream -- no air tank needed. Alain Levy added a small pressure feed pot to force media in and eliminated clogging entirely.

Is this company legit? I have not received my order.

One customer publicly retracted a scam accusation after support resolved a shipping error, writing the product is as real as it gets and the team was genuine and humble. If your order has not arrived, contact support directly via the chat on the product page -- not the contact-us email.

Does it work on car frames and body panels without warping?

Yes -- the water actually cools the metal and reduces warp risk compared to dry blasting. Robert Milush: the water keeps metal cool, reducing warping. Multiple customers have done full vehicle frames including a 1969 Chevelle and a 1970 truck.

How do I return an item or reach customer support?

Use the live chat on the product page rather than the contact-us email form, which has had reported issues. For returns, message support directly with your order number and they will send the return address.

What media should I use and does sand clog it?

Use dry, sifted media. Black Diamond coal slag, garnet, and play sand sifted through a window screen all work. Wet or unsifted sand clogs the nozzle. Robert Milush uses Northern Tools media with a 3000 PSI sprayer with no issues.

My media keeps clogging -- how do I fix it?

Three causes: wet media, unsifted grit, or the intake hose not pointing straight up. Sift sand through a window screen, keep it bone dry, and position the sand hose vertically. Scott Stewart switched to a larger-diameter feed line and it ran smooth the whole session.

How much media does it go through? Is it expensive to run?

A 40 lb bag from Home Depot runs under $10 and covers a full vehicle frame session for most users. Scott White spent under $300 total -- pressure washer, kit, and 40 lb bag of media. Collect spent media on a tarp and reuse it.

How messy is it and can I use it indoors?

Messier than dry blasting -- wet media spreads. Use it outdoors or in an open bay. Lay a tarp under the workpiece to collect and reuse media. Tommy Greene did a 1964 F350 rim in 7 minutes and described cleanup as straightforward.

      Do I need a respirator?

Yes if you are using silica sand -- that is a serious health hazard. Switch to garnet, coal slag, or aluminum oxide and you significantly reduce dust exposure. The wet process also suppresses airborne particles compared to dry blasting.
